I did not want to work with Jason. In fact, I didn’t feel that I had the mental strength to work with one more trainer, physician, acupuncturist, physical therapist or holistic counselor. After back surgery to remove a spinal tumor, I was told at age 26 that I would need to live with the knee pain that never subsided. Over the next couple years I had become someone that my family and friends no longer recognized. I was worn down into a depression from daily pain, frustration over doctors giving in to prescription recommendations instead of offering creative alternatives and missing out on year after year of my 20’s. Jason helped me recover my health after a series of extensive surgeries. Without his motivation and encouragement I would not have the strength and overall health that I enjoy today. He is both knowledgeable and skilled as a personal trainer. He is tough but patient. More than his skill as a trainer, his strength of character is what has kept me training with him for the past six years.
I trained with Jason for more than 3 years while living in the suburbs of Chicago. Jason helped me in losing weight while building muscle and cardio endurance. I had always been resistant to cardio and now I am running 2 to 3 half marathons a year. Jason is also very understanding and realistic with his approach. Ever since I was a kid I have always struggled with my weight. When I started high school and into my sophomore year, my body image became a problem in my eyes. It’s was a moment in my life I never want to revert back to again. Even though I was a football player for 8 years I knew I needed to lose weight. Being 16 and weighting in at 260 pounds is not natural. When I met Jason, right away he knew what actions must be taken to get me where I needed to be with my goals I had in mind. I’ve been training with Jason for 6 years now. Jason is an excellent trainer, very knowledgeable. He’s very good at creating a personalized training program for each individual he trains. I’m impressed with how well he is able to adjust my program with my various injuries or my aches and pains. If you are looking for a great trainer, Jason is the trainer for you.
Coming out of my sophomore year of high school, I knew I had to gain some weight. I was 5’7″ and only weighed 128 pounds. I had told my dad, knowing nothing about working out, that the only way I would gain some muscle was to get a personal trainer; this is when I met Jason. At that time he was part of Life Time Fitness Personal Training staff. Through his intense workouts and helpful guidance I was able to learn a lot about working out. I had trained with him for six months, in which I managed to raise all of my PR’s and gain a healthy 30 pounds. To this day I am still in contact with Jason and he constantly gives me healthy and helpful instructions on what I should do to reach my fitness goals. I couldn’t have made a better decision to get him as a personal trainer. Thanks Jason!
